Royal Robbins!

We are excited to have Royal Robbins as our keynote speaker. He is a pioneer in rock climbing, kayaking, business, and global stewardship.  An avid lover of the outdoors, he revolutionized the sport of rock climbing making numerous first ascents that include the first grade VI climb in America. He was also an early proponent of “clean climbing” to minimize human impact on the rock. He has made many first descents of rivers in California and around the world.  Always an innovator, Robbins and his wife, Liz, founded “Royal Robbins” clothing company making part of their mission about global stewardship. He is truly an example of someone who “lives the dream; lives it green.” So, grab a bike, grab a friend and hitch a ride to Chico, California for the 2009 Western Region Outdoor Leadership Conference. WROLC is a long standing tradition of students and professionals coming together in their common love for the outdoors.
